The BladeSystem c7000 enclosure provides all the I/O infrastructure and cooling and power systems needed to support current and future modular server, interconnect, and storage components. The enclosure is 10U high and can hold up to 16 server and/or storage blades in addition to optional redundant network and storage interconnect modules. It includes a shared 7.1 Tbps high-performance NonStop backplane for connecting server blades to the network and the shared storage system in a single cable connection. Power is provided by a grouped power backplane. Power flexibility is ensured through the following different power input methods: single-phase AC input, three-phase AC input, 48V DC input and high voltage DC input.
